Portals to Magical Places
This desktop portal was commissioned by David Spangler. He wanted a small portal to place on his desk. Being inspired by both his writing and my own connections with the Sidhe, I created this sculpture with the Sidhe glyph in the center. In one of his recent books he wrote:
“Ron creates these artifacts in attunement with his Sidhe allies so that each one can act as a point of contact with the energy field of the Sidhe realm. I have often used it to facilitate my own connection with these beings when it has been appropriate to do so.”

A portal connects two realms. The main circle is made of two woods. One face is maple, the other cherry. There are ancient myths that tie colors red and white to the Human and Sidhe worlds.
The white maple symbolizes the blood of the Sidhe - the light of the stars.
The red maple is for the blood of Humanity. Just as our earth’s core is iron; it is iron that creates our red blood.
